~桜くす玉~ Kusudama Sakura (2nd Version)

This type of Sakura Kusudama is different from the one I made before. This one was created by Tomoko Fuse, and like most of her kusudama works, the units are also united through pocket system.

Zoomed in :

I made this from 7 x 7 cm light blue paper as the main ball and flowers, and 2 x 2 cm yellow paper as the inner part of each petal.

I decided not to add any butterflies this time because I think this kusudama is already 'crowded' enough with the flower anther and filaments which I attached at the center part of each flower.
The instruction to make this type of kusudama was published in Origami Tanteidan Magazine,  number 72. I got it downloaded from > HERE <

I must say that this is the most difficult kusudama I've ever made so far. Folding the units are not so difficult. But when it came to uniting them, I got the urge to slam my head toward the wall a couple of times  confuse
Usually I only need a few hour to finish one kusudama. But for this type, I spent 3 days to complete! weep
That's why I decide to refuse any request to make this kusudama as a mass project!

さくら玉 祭 ~ Sakuradama Festival

It wasn't really a festival. It's just that some of my friends're interested in Sakuradama so I decided to make them as presents... ^^

They got all items just like the former Peach Sakuradama, such as : 2 chibi sakuras, 2 Swallowtail Butterflies, and a tassel for each Sakuradama.

The 1st one will be given to my friend, Blue Ballad a.k.a Wira Kirros. He said that he wants Red Sakuradama, so here it is :

It's really similar to the former Peach Kusudama except the colors are different.

The 2nd Kusudama is meant to give to my dear kawaii o saru ( XD), Monkichi. Since she likes yellow, so this is how her Sakuradama turned to :

This time I tried a little variation. I 'trapped' 2 chibi sakura that usually put at the top string. I made it that way, but then I found out that it's really difficult to show them through the picture because the holes between each sakura parts are too small :

Hora... We can barely see them, right? >.<
But I assure you that we can see it for real... ^^

もも色 さくら玉 ~ Peach Sakuradama

Since today's my friend's birthday, I decided to make her a hanging sakuradama decoration for the birthday present. I made it sized exactly like the prototype I made before and this time I made it from peach art paper. Voila !!

I attached 2 Swallowtail Butterflies which made from 8.5 x 8.5 cm notepad papers :

I also attached 2 sakura origami pieces at the top thread :

And a tassel at the end of the bottom thread :

You can learn how to make a tassel HERE

さくら玉 ~ Sakuradama

This is another type of traditional Kusudama. I made this prototype by cuting a few 70 g A4 papers and each part sized 7 x 5 cm. The components of this kind of kusudama are 30 pieces :
