もも色 さくら玉 ~ Peach Sakuradama

Since today's my friend's birthday, I decided to make her a hanging sakuradama decoration for the birthday present. I made it sized exactly like the prototype I made before and this time I made it from peach art paper. Voila !!

I attached 2 Swallowtail Butterflies which made from 8.5 x 8.5 cm notepad papers :

I also attached 2 sakura origami pieces at the top thread :

And a tassel at the end of the bottom thread :

You can learn how to make a tassel HERE

Sakura

This is kinda cute imo.. Made from 5 parts of 4 x 3 cm paper :

You can make it bigger or smaller by resizing the paper. If you want to make it kinda round like mine, then I suggest you to make the paper size by reducing a quarter of the width of a square paper.

Now here's the video to guide you in making sakura origami : HERE or HERE

さくら玉 ~ Sakuradama

This is another type of traditional Kusudama. I made this prototype by cuting a few 70 g A4 papers and each part sized 7 x 5 cm. The components of this kind of kusudama are 30 pieces :

And here's the DIAGRAM

Swallowtail Butterfly Origami

This was invented by Michael LaFosse. Actually there are various type of butterfly origami, but I like this the most :

You can find the folding step by step > HERE <> OFFICIAL VIDEO < should be able to guide you through... ^^

Kusudama Chrysanthemum Leroy

This is also a prototype. I made this with 30 sheets of same papers like the one that I used to make Hoshidama :

Here's the diagram in .pdf format : 1 or 2

Kusudama Astra

This is my 2nd Kusudama prototype. I made the star parts from 6 sheets of orange origami paper sized 12 x 12 cm and 8 sheets of black origami paper sized 12 x 6 cm :

You can find the diagram > HERE

Kusudama Hoshi

This is my very first kusudama prototype. It's a traditional Kusudama. I said it prototype because I made it for trial purpose. I made it from 30 sheets of notepad papers sized 8.5 x 8.5 cm

Now here're how to make instructions : 1 2 3

I will make the real one for sure someday... ^^

Origami

One of my favorite thing to do is Origami. But I don't really into 2D origami. I love to make Kusudama a lot even though I have to make lots of its parts first... I know that to make 1 thing over and over again is kinda boring, but I can do it while watching something on my PC so I won't feel bored... :p

So.. I'd like to share a little about making origami and kusudama that I have made just in case anyone interested in this journal. I hope I can make it easier for you in making them ... ^^
